About us

We started out back in 2010 when husband and wife team Paul and Julie bought a derelict petrol garage that hadn't been used in years, with it turning into our main workshop the following year allowing us to officially open as Frampton Garage. Paul worked as mechanic working night shifts fixing lorries for nearly 30 years before starting Frampton Garage. We started off with just one other mechanic and a couple of ramps. Fast-forward to 2015 and we quickly outgrew the space and decided to purchase more derelict land around the corner to convert that into more workshop space, an office and a car park. This allowed us to maximise the main workshop space with more ramps and more technicians.

We now employ over 17 people and have 10 ramps with further workshop space and ramps in Yate, which is mainly used for fleet vehicles and to accomodate larger vehicles.

We have grown exponentially over the years and have continually invested in more tools, and more specifically diagnostic equipment to assist with the ever-increasing demand for diagnostics as cars have evolved over time. We pride ourselves on being the cheaper alternative to main dealers, without sacrificing the quality.

We are easily accessible from Yate, the ring road and M32. We have a combination of two sites, within a minute's walk of each other in Frampton Cotterell and another workshop in Yate.

History

Frampton Garage has been open since May 2011, to be used once again as a vehicle repair centre. Previously it has been a toy shop, bike shop and operated as a garage and petrol station until the owner retired and it was unused for many many years. The office on The Causeway opened in late 2015. It operated as a hairdressers right up until early 2015 before it was torn down and rebuilt into an office and the derelict land turned into a car park and storage.

The Team

We are a local, family-run business with an extensive range of knowledge and equipment to carry out most repairs. Frampton Garage initially began with just 2 full-time employees consisting of just one mechanic and one member of clerical staff. In just 12 short years we have over 20 members within the team, each with many years experience within the industry from various other garages and hobbies. Each technician has a range of knowledge on all makes and models and therefore we welcome a variety of vehicles from classics to modern vehicles. Please see our gallery for updates on some of the vehicles we have recently worked on.

The team are kept up to date with training and are persistently improving upon their knowledge in order to accommodate new changes to vehicles and mechanics. All our MOT testers are monitored by VOSA and maintain all MOT rules and licensing, please see our policies page or pop into the office for more information on the MOT licensing.

Parking

We try our best to be mindful of our neighbours when parking. We cannot be held responsible for all the vehicles on the road in the surrounding areas but we can be held responsible for the parking whilst vehicles are being repaired at Frampton Garage within working hours. We aim to keep all vehicles off the public roads as much as possible by parking them on the driveway, in the car park or in the workshop. However when out of hours we cannot monitor any vehicles that have been dropped off and therefore ask our customers to be considerate when parking. Please do not block any driveways, pathways or park outside neighbouring properties if possible. Please park straight, close to the kerb and respectfully. Ensure that larger vehicles and emergency vehicles can pass by you freely. Ensure that pedestrians have full access to the pathways. Please try to bring your vehicle as close as you can to your appointment time so that vehicles are not parked close-by unnecessarily and collect as soon as possible when we have called you to say the car is ready. We would like to thank you for your cooperation.
